Person of the Year is a very special event that is held in the spring and created and performed by the 8^th grade class.  Each student selects a nominee, interviews them, and then writes a biography about their person.   To culminate the project, the nominees are invited to a celebration at Hillview where the 8^th graders give a presentation about their nominee to everyone in attendance separated by homerooms.  The biography is also presented to the nominee.  After the presentations are given in each homeroom, the students and their nominees are welcome to visit other classrooms.  Refreshments are served at the event and there is ample opportunity to introduce their nominees to teachers and school mates.
